Hazard Manager conditions of use
Hazard Manager is provided by the Met Office as a part of our commitment to the Public Weather Service.
Hazard Manager is provided by the Met Office as a part of our commitment to the Public Weather Service. This requirement is defined in the Civil Contingencies Act 2004.
Responders are classified into two categories:
-
Category 1 responders are those organisations at the core of emergency response (e.g. emergency services, local authorities).
-
Category 2 responders are 'co-operating bodies' who, while less likely to be involved in the heart of planning work, will be heavily involved in incidents that affect their sector (e.g. Health and Safety Executive, transport and utility companies).
Hazard Manager is designed for use by Category 1 and Category 2 responders and provides a one-stop information source for the emergency response community, allowing you to access your services in one location, using a single username and password.
Registered content and imagery contained within Hazard Manager should not be reproduced or replicated on social media sites or any other device anywhere in the world.
The Met Office reminds registered users that Hazard Manager is a dynamic service and is not designed to be used as a self-briefing tool. Registered users are required to ensure that the information contained is only used in conjunction with the latest Met Office advice.
