Direct Line
Direct Line provides aviation specific datasets to users requiring access to all or part of the regulated data set, as back up to the SADIS/WIFS datasets or for those outside of the regulated criteria.
Direct Line delivers World Area Forecast System (WAFS) products, as well as other character orientated OPMET information required for pre-flight planning and flight documentation. It is split into three sections: WAFC Aviation, OPMET datasets and Volcanic Ash Advisories.
- WAFC Aviation GRIB main and Hazard data - Global forecasts of upper winds and temperatures for flights throughout the world, helping to optimise safety and fuel consumption.
- WAFC Significant weather data (SIGWX) charts.
- OPMET TAC including SIGMET, METAR, TAF, AIMET, TC and Space Wx advisory.
- Other charts including Surface pressure charts, low level significant and spot PNG charts, and wind and temperature PNG charts.
- Volcanic Ash advisory and graphic.
