Patchy rain through Sunday, but turning warmer next week.
A rather cloudy day with outbreaks of rain across the area, these heaviest in Cumbria and the Pennine regions. Some brighter spells are expected to develop in the north by this evening. Still rather breezy though, especially in coastal areas. Maximum temperature 17 °C.
Cloudy but increasingly dry overnight as a band of rain sinks southwards. Clear spells developing in the early hours, allowing mist and patchy fog to form in rural areas. Minimum temperature 8 °C.
A settled start to the week with early morning mist and fog clearing, leaving a dry, bright day. Feeling warm with light winds and sunny spells developing in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 18 °C.
Dry and settled over the coming few days, with high pressure bringing periods of warm sunshine by day, but cooler nights with mist and fog developing in rural parts.
